Warren calls herself a `street philosopher'. I do really like the fact that it isn't just about dinosaurs and includes the Woolly Mammoth. I prefer reading texts that get to the point more quickly. The author could have made the chapters longer to make the book seem more worth the money, but I don't think this would necessarily have made the book any better - just longer.
I found this an entertaining and enjoyable read, and I recommend it. I learn an incredible amount of information about that time in our country's history. The common and scientific names of the plants, as well as location and season pictured, are meticulously documented.
