    Both the english and French versions are the most complete literature that one may expect. The story is very well told and the characters are engaging. I give this book a 'C'.. Thought it was a hard cover but still very nice and pretty illustrations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the content and stories revealed behind the series that I did not know - for instance, that the scene in "the Hobbit" concerning Bilbo's discovery of the Ring was originally written differently before Tolkien decided to follow up "the Hobbit" (originally intended more as a children's book) with the more sophisticated LOTR trilogy. With everything happening Matthew thought he was going crazy like his uncle Clarence. This is a great book. Joseph J. Impressive. . I have LOTS of books on London for when I travel there alone.
