The political aspect of it made this story not a flat out 1 star read for me.

It may be set in 2228 but everything felt kind of dated. . There were significant increases in Niall's power and abilities that just seemed out or proportion for the limited amount of time he'd been able to use his Fey-given skills. The cover design was NOT as pictured and did disappoint. It references pedophilia. But, without a logic of domination, `superiority' could just as well lead to stewardship.
Patriarchy provides our current logic of domination. I was a little nervous about Expression Web 3. It's mostly a very light romp through colonial bureaucracy.. I think it's a good primer to get your feet wet about synergies and blending without investing in a $15, $20 or $90 Essential Oil text book.
