The environment is vast and the characters seem to wander all over it. This is a great book. This is a "must have" reference for anyone who is involved in the treatment of pain patients, both acute and chronic. A sleepy college town. If you are an enthusiast, you will want it in your library.. In third person, this book would have been 5 star. I attended the Petrocollapse Conference in New York in 2005 where both Mike and Jenna spoke. I won't waste your time with every detail of their conversation, even if it is interesting. The romance and timeline of it weaken this story. On top of formal instruction in regular classwork.
