He finds nightsitters to relieve his exhausted mother--but his father hates to have them in the house, and they seldom last. A lot of 'that' could be left to 'fade to black' without harming the story in any way. The pantry dive is fabulous!!! Do not miss this! This makes every day simpler and more fulfilling!. I liked it very much.. I could not stop talking about it. This year I am taking another stats course that relies heavily on S-PLUS, so I relented and bought the book, as well as "Modern Applied Statistics with S".
Not only has "The Basics of S-PLUS" been an excellent language reference, but it very clearly describes how S works making many of the programming solutions I spent so many hours concocting last year seem simple in retrospect.
