It's full of great ideas about leftovers and making the most of the food you prepare and it's loaded with personality. This is one of the best presented field guides I have ever seen. The acceptance of slavery and "indentured servants" (basically punishment for crimes) seems a bit too much for this timeframe. Guinevere as described would not have attracted a skunk for long, let alone two husbands. Not the book's fault -- it is what L&C wrote! It does provider the flavor of the time.
The book Lewis & Clark by Ralph Andrist is much easier to read, tells a good story based on the journals with other background.. You won't find this detailed guide anywhere, so serious iPhoto users should buy it for this reason alone!.

Although I consider myself an intermediate iPhoto user, I still found quite a bit of value from this book. I bought this book as reference material for my research on Room squares and starters.
