I pity the author: my Jewish family told better jokes. It has a lot of charm and the characters are nicely 'fleshed' out. Fantastic!. Due to the style of writing used, it is a little hard to absorb. I liked that it gave actual recipes, measurements for different blends. The romance and timeline of it weaken this story. Mike was a troubled man but also brilliant and courageous. If one were limited to reading just one book on exploring how and why the comic dimension of human existence functions, this should be the choice. and let the new way of thinking become your way of life.
I have been using this book for myself and my clients since the early 1980's, and I know that what Paul Hauck tells us has worked for both myself and the clients that I have recommended the book too. As with many of us, I seek not Enlightenment (yet), I seek to understand qigong. He also, upon occasion will give a summary of events, or a note of interest.
